Desisa wanted it badly enough to elbow Kipsang after clipping at his heels for miles. If I didn't know Kipsang to be a devout, practicing Christian, I'd have thought he let off a torrent of abusive expletives when he was talking to him.

I think she ran in the "hope to hope" zone. Meaning she really hoped it'll all come together if she hopes enough. Hope to hope.
