They literally missed every significant break beside's Deysa. It was like they were trying to do it. Desisa and Hayle's break from the pack was missed with one of those commercial breaks with the same 4 commercials they played again and again. Then there was the unintelligible interview. Then finally, while Hayle was dropping Desisa, they cut completely away to Neely Spence Gracey's glorious JV 1600 style kick on her way to 9th place and 2:35, although I guess they couldn't afford to miss the first white person crossing the finish line.

Thank you. I missed the ending but was going to scroll back through the live stream to watch the break. I guess I won't waste my time looking for it if it wasn't covered.

1:17/1:47 splits cannot feel good. A lesser man would have dropped out of the race.

His 15K split was faster than I've ever run a 15K. His marathon time was slower than my slowest marathon. Wild.

it must have been brutal out there after the halfway mark - I'm looking at splits from my team and they were gawdawful - many more blowups than usual. Epic disasters.

I am seeing 1:30/1:55, 1:25/1:45 splits here. And a few more that should have long finished but no results yet...

It's for TV. On TV they have real commercials.

I watch a lot of EPL soccer on the app and nearly all the commercials are for the Olympics.

Chris Chavez (running for the Jacuzzi Boys Athletic Club and Sports Illustrated) is on 3:45 pace, with a PR somewhere in the 4s, so he's definitely beating letsrun's Jon Gault in the media race.
