you're right. they both ran their own thing and rowbury sort of found herself behind simpson and was so far behind 1st and 2nd, she charged up drafting and then kicked for 3rd.kind of lame by her to not go for the time, but must help her confidence to finish ahead of simpson consistently. with the way most races end, i wouldn't go to the front like ingebritsen and then fade to 6th-10th whatever....i think, just from the little i know having watched simpson race for 6-7 years, that simpson has more heart as a runner.rowbury is probably just more fit this year

This race scenario does not support the statement that Jenny was Shannon's rabbit during this race

No preference between Shannon and Jenny, but Rowburry certainly would have an Olympic medal if the litany of dopers ahead of her were properly dealt with. If anyone has reason to be pissed about the IAAF/WADA/IOC BS with testing, it's Rowburry.
