They both lost.
Here is a screen shot of the moment in question.
Muchas gracias. Jenny had just made a feeble effort to push Shannon out of her lane. No love lost here.

Rowbury was the first to try the new Sit, Kick, and Block technique--three+lane wideout. Payback is a bitch which Rowbury deserves.

This.

They really do not like each other. At this point you can tell. And I think Lets Run fanned the flames with that " Shannon Rowbury fires back at Jenny Simpson! " thread that they put on the front page. When Jenny Kicked her shoe off during worlds it almost hit Shannon in the face, we are takling about a shoe with spikes on it, Jenny kicked it up in the air Shannon was right behind her. I wonder if Shannon had anything to do with the shoe coming lose? Girl drama is unimportant, wtf Is Jennt running so bad? She use to be right theree with Hasan, Now Hasan is on another level.
Actually at 4:29 I think Jenny pushed Shannon, lol which is where the look came from. Shannon just walks to the other side of the track to avoid conflict.
Of the two, I've only talked to Shannon, a truly sweet and intelligent person. I think that the current competitive situation is circumstantially bringing out some pent-up aggression. Both probably expected to at least medal in Bejing.
I'm sure that Jenny is great also on a day-to-day basis. The mile/1500 is a tough, personal event, and a real brutal one at the International level right now.

The ladies on this board certainly like a good cat fight don't they?
agree..I think more people here have met, spoken to Shannon, who is obviously friendly and appreciative of support, and much more approachable than Jenny. Don't know much about Jenny. Wrapped in intrigue like her coach Wetmore. Ironically I met and knew Wetmore almost 40 years ago back in NJ...he was a very young, serious guy not inclined to sit down and shoot the shit with his team's opponents even in those days.
A few years back, for about a week, Simpson was practicing at the same track I was at daily. I never spoke to her/with her, but in her interactions with those around her she seemed open and fun loving. She seemed like a down to earth person, very energetic and chatty. She would make a lot of tips as a barmaid.

Everyone else improved. Hassan is 22. Simpson is past the point of big improvements.
both gals should move up to 5k...the 1500m is too fast now for them to medal. BTW... Shannon sat on jenny again almost entire way. Shannon would not be running those times without leeching off Jenny.

This is utter BS. Watch the race. Shannon was nowhere near Jenny for 1100 meters of the race. In fact Shannon was in front of Jenny for the early part of the race.
Stop fabricating lies to support your statements.
Get your facts straight
And yes, Jenny did push Shannon and try to cut her off at the end
Pretty shady race tactics
wrong. shannon is right there with jenny or just behind her the whole race that I've seen. sit and kick, but let the leaders go way ahead, even though they are going on slower pace than your own pr (3:56>4:16.7).
I just have a gut reaction that Simpson enjoys running more and has more fun with it, whereas Rowbury gives off the impression of being overly intense and serious. Kind of like Bolt vs Gatlin. Simpson is more like Cain, 'I love life and isn't running awesome!' and Rowbury is more Hasay, 'I hate myself if I don't do well.' Simpson would be fine without running. Rowbury wouldn't know what to do.
4:22 = about 4:03-4, in great conditions. They must be pretty tapped out.
I'm pretty sure she was looking over at the clock.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
