Rupp and Jager are not in the 5000, those 2 did not seem to race much this year. http://brussels.diamondleague.com/programma/programma-2015/

Kiprop in the 800. Awesome.
Can someone explain to me the philosophy behind Jager not racing after Worlds? If he is injured, ok I get it. But otherwise, why wouldn't you want to go out and end on a strong performance after a disappointing showing in China?
He can't be that tired. Rio is an year away. What's the deal?
And Gatlin doubling in the 100/200m. Love it!
Another Simpson/Rowbury matchup in the 1500. Give these women credit - they are not afraid to race. It makes for good drama too. And throw in Hassan and Aregawi for good measure.

Jager just raced in the steeple last week in Zurich (3rd place). He looked tired there (no real kick at the end off a moderate pace) and he looked tired in the final in Beijing, still only 2 weeks ago.
Wouldn't surprise me to see him in a later, smaller meet (Rieti perhaps, which has a steeple and a flat 3K) or on the other hand for him to be done for this season.
As to why he should seem so tired, at worlds and Zurich, after a very light racing schedule this season ... that is another question. Maybe he burned it a little too hot in training.
Actually Rupp is in the 5000. Very glad to see him there

They must have added him after i posted this, glad to see him racing.
Watch out for Iguider. New PB over 800m yesterday. I predict 12:55
for the winner and 13:03 for True/Rupp
Simpson wins the 1500m (also a PB in the 800m at Padova).
No Farah in the 5K though. Weird that the guy tied atop the DL standings wouldn't run the final ... instead he is running basically an exhibition half-marathon two days later (Stanley Biwott is the only proven top-tier half guy in the field).
Would have been nice to see him against all the top names, possibly in a faster race too, as opposed to the jog fest we got at Worlds.
Great for the sport.
I guess the appearance fee he is getting for the Great North Run is more than the same for Brussels plus the DL jackpot.
I'm sorry, but this is a thing that annoys me about Farah ... how many years (including champ years) do you think Bekele or Geb ran only one 5K on the circuit?
I'd think the best 5K guy in the world right now would race the distance more often (also the best 10K guy, but they basically don't have those anymore, so can't fault him if he wasn't to run many of those).
Compared to double World champion, winning Diamond League standing is kinda small potatoes. Farah doesn't need the DL money. As you say his appearance fee for Great North Run is probably much more lucrative plus GNR is a huge deal in the UK. Farah is a national sporting hero in a country with precious few so he needs to make appearances there.
meant Rowbury.
Bolt pull out of the meet, Kat!
Why isn't Nick Symmonds racing?
Chris Derrick?????
What has he done to get in a Diamond League field?
The Great North Run is a very big deal in England, where Farah is from. It's not that difficult to imagine he'd prefer to that. He did get his two world championships golds, didn't he? Okay then.

sub 12:50? wait what happened to those fan boys? Lo
Why would he not be tired? He clearly peaked over a month ago at Monaco. And he tried to maintain that fitness through worlds. I don't know, but it would seem completely reasonable to me if he called it a season at this point.
