Not trying to attack doubler. Hope it does not come across that way. If so sorry to doubler. Just trying to express the concerns with how the message is being presented or in some instances not. My impression if doubler is that he is a big boy and capable of discerning his own approach and I respect that. Doesn't mean I can't question it or pose thoughts. Doubler can handle that.

Looks like Marlon did what he did. And now consequences follow.

Sad that these threads deteriorate so fast into only 2 camps: the Rossi camp and the Stillman camp. And then any post pondering how to address cheating long term gets shouted down as either pro cheating or pro shaming.

I think it was actually 6:23 pace from mi 6.2 to 24.8 and then 12:02 pace for 24.8 to 26.2 according to marathon investigation. Or it could be that he cut the course and jogged it in the last stretch to make sure his time was believable.

Correct. I should have subtracted the 6.2 from the 24, so more like 18 at 6:23. Still, not very believable. Also, if you're shooting for a 3:05, crossing the start line 4 minutes after the gun time seems like a bad idea. For that first 10k he would have been behind a lot of other runners, and then had to pass all but 57 of them.

Well, if you're Marlon, the thing to do is give everyone the race name etc. If you're going to prove you can run a 3:05 marathon you've got nothing to hide. Unless you're trying to pull a Rossi turkey trot.

Doubled already gave the names to Runners World and has or will provide the data to the BAA as well so it's more probable than not that we will eventually know the names of most, if not all, of the 40 or so individuals who cheated to get into Boston this year.

Not unreasonable to inquire of Doubler his rationale for posting some, but not all, of the names.

As an RD, I would like to see the names and data as it could help in preventing future race cheats.

As an RD, and the guy who proofs our results before they get submitted to USATF, I would like the same.

I'm glad Doubler is doing what he's doing, but his results make me sad. I have a good friend, former college coach of mine, who ran his first marathon in 30 years to try to qualify for Boston to run with his daughter, who was already qualified. He beat his BQ time by 2:23, which turned out to be 5 seconds too slow. Had none of the cheaters gotten BQ bibs, I think it's more than possible that my buddy would have gotten in.

I do agree that there should be some RD list serve (do they even have those still?) where suspect results could be shared amongst RDs.

Other than that, this "shaming" double-talk & harranguing of doubler to "release the names" is pointless & irrelevant. The data on Marlon should be the focus (at least on this thread) -- and no one has been able to rebut the damning evidence against him.

You would find the names yourself but you're too busy doing a 10k. On Saturday. How long does it take you to run a 10k? Unless a 10k also takes so much out of you that all day Saturday and Sunday all you can do is lay in bed sleeping?

If you want the names, figure it out yourself. Sounds like you have an entire weekend to figure out at least some of the names, if you actually care.
