the first 400 was split at WR pace, but they were already behind by 800. maybe you go into something like this thinking if every star aligns, the record is possible, but the realistic goal was probably low 3:27 or high 3:26. Jakob seemed reasonably pleased after the race, and pacer no.3, Stewy, had a look of "mission accomplished" as he congratulated Jakob with a big smile after the race.
