Very impressive run, anything this kid can't do?

Dude has some range. Has run 1:20 in the 600 and 8:56 for the 32. Could be a sub 1:50, sub 8:50 guy outdoors. Not too many have done that.
Puts him just behind Robbie Andrews and ahead of Alan Webb. Sub 4 outdoors?

I live right by his school; Kid has a crazy work ethic
Matt Payamps will be the only high schooler to break 4 this year. Going to get under it outdoors. Those RWV2 guys are always throwing down fast times
With 8:56 as well as 1:20, he has an excellent shot at low 4, maybe even sub 4 this year.

Did Hasty ever break 4?

I agree -- I could see him getting sub-4. I base that just on his beating Spencer Brown (aka The Athlete Special) in a 1k this past weekend. He made a brief cameo in Spencer's latest video. Spencer went sub-4 indoors (albeit, barely) a few weeks ago.
Please tell me you don't believe he can't break 1:52?! He could probably break 1:50 right now. He ran 49 on a 4x4 6 weeks ago. He's got all the tools needed.

Long Island, NY. St. Anthony's High School. 17/18. Senior. Tim Dearie. 2:24.1 by Miles Irish of Burnt Hills in 1983.

Pot, meet kettle.
Johnny Gregorek's dad's HS records could go.
4: 05 mile, and 8:50 2 mile.
What do you think TUD?
Georgetown connection. Old NY 1000m record by Miles Irish, a Georgetown alum (and Miles' daughter is on the Georgetown track team); St. Anthony's grad John Gregorek (the father, who had top ten American marks in the 1500/mile, 5000m, and SC for about 10 years after he graduated) is a Georgetown alum too. Matt will be going to Georgetown (wearing the GU colors in the Athlete Special).

Miles' son is on the Dartmouth team, as well, which is where Miles set the 2:24 HS record on their flat track, which if you believe the NCAA conversion charts is 2:22.1 equivalent. Obviously Payamps has the rightful record, but I do think Miles is one of the best forgotten runners in HS history. National records at 600 and 1000, and ran a 8:16 3k with the 600 and 3000 both coming on a 160m 4 turn flat track at Union College.
Hard to find an image to show just how crazy it is to run fast on this bad a track, can't find a layout picture online.
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/PBRotavkMfg/maxresdefault.jpgAnyways, GU is getting a very good recruiting class this coming year with Payamps, Weilbaker (sub9), and Stokes (NBON Steeple Champ). I'll be following this team with hope.

Can we pause for a moment and acknowledge the greatness of the old mark? And how it's still a superior mark?
Miles Irish's 2:24.1 came in 1983 on a flat track in HS competition.
The new mark was run on a banked track in a pro meet.
The NCAA conversion for the 1k to convert it from flat to banked is 0.9864 so Irish's 2:24.1 converts to a 2:22.14.
But since Payamps is going to GTown, I guess Miles won't be too upset.

"no, because he couldn't break 1:52, just like matthew payamps."

I would think that Spencer's channel hasn't hurt their recruiting any.
