Wariner was "owned" by losing by .18 in April to a former teammate? I'm sure he's so concerned.
Run along back to Dyestat.
Granted he is boasting about trying to get the World Record, I would think he would be running just a little faster right now. Granted it was a bit windy at Drake. Even though I post this, I'm all for him getting the record and winning this summer! So, go get 'em Wariner and keep getting faster!
Wariner is still building strength, hasn't really worked on speed yet. I saw a tape of his last race; he doesn't look like he's dying, just that he doesn't have that extra gear right now. He'll be fine.
I agree- the whole headline is stupid.
But why the continued hostility about Dyestat? There are a few more idiots and obsessive/compulsive types there, but also several knowledgable veterans as well who would rip a thread like this to shreds.
Lest we also forget that Wariner got "Owned" by Williamson at the Mike Johnson invite around this time last year too.
Do you think that an Olympic gold medalist doesn't know how to train in order to peak at the right time? I'm not saying that Wariner is or should be immune to criticism, but given that it's early in the season and his lack of training and racing mishaps or bad decisions so far, I don't think that anyone who's not his coach needs to be second-guessing how he's running so far this season.
Who are "knowledgable veterans" at DyeStat? I've only seen kids running around arguing over the coolest spikes and drooling over Rupp. I'll laugh if you are refering to mrr82 and king.
Agreed. Again, as has been stated, Wariner was losing races last year at this time. Go back and check what place he was at regionals. He'll be fine when it counts. This board is too quick to jump on people if they aren't having amazing races every time out.
Ok, even if that was the truth, what did the original post have to do with Dyestat or anything that could be related to Dyestat? The word owned? I believe the younger crowd writes "pnwed" or something like that.
Meh, it's early April, JW will be superior as the season progresses.
i think dyestat is operated in a more professional manner than this board actually. it's not just pointless bashing of others unlike this board most of the time.
well shit, I guess he should give back his TWO GOLD MEDALS now!!!
how often did Michael Johnson lose in April. If he expects to be as good as Johnson then he should be able to peak in August and still win in April. We all want him to be great but maybe some of us wouldn't be so cynical if these athletes would stop being so cocky.

I love how if someone has high goals or states what they want to do later in the season it is "cocky" then if someone says "we can't run with those guys" it's the whole..."oh this is why Americans are so bad in track"....there is no middle ground for you guys. So do you want our athletes to be confident or afraid? You guys complain either way.
how often did michael johnson face real competition in april?
The sad thing is that two other Americans were running faster indoors than Jeremy is running now. I am sorry the guy just might have been a fluke last year. Good year to be a fluke though.
actually it looks like warniner did get owned. williamson is certainly no slouch and i think both of their goals are pretty similar for the season. wariner was barely ahead of williamson all of last year and maybe the tables are turning, who knows? no need for everyone to flip out at the person who started this thread.
He will be back - you can quote me.
interesting but not quite wrote:

Sorry, but you're jumping the gun. 'Flukes' don't run 43.9 splits as sophomores in college then proceed to have the year he had in 2004.
