Looks like Sandy is running an extra 5 miles today because of where the RV can't park.... RV driver posted this on facebook. (The RV is registered to me... I wonder if I'm now on some watch list!)
PROOF that Mimi was hounded by hounds as she tried to film herself running.

Mimi has been having her RV park on such roads and fields for a week. Have the British ever heard of RV parks?
Can you link to it please? Thanks
Tough day for the Marvellous one and still no Strava upload (she finished nearly 12 hours ago)
It seems that not one f#%k is given about transparency by the team

So Sandra doesn't update hers for days on end and that's ok but Mimi doesn't do it for 12 hours and it's the end of the world?

I must have missed that - link to when Sandra didn't update?

Sandra always update hers when she can.
I think only in remote Nevada she couldn't do that.
Mimi's team didn't seem to care much until letsrun.com gave them a warning.

Evidence? Links? Are you new here?
( It's discussed a couple of pages back)
The claim was made against Sandy a few pages back but I haven't seen any evidence. It must have been before my time.
There is no excuse for this from Miranda's team, especially after how they already made so many other mistakes with data collection. It's disappointing to those of us who believed they would be transparent going forward.

Apologies. I just dip in and out here as tbh stunt running is not something I care deeply about.

Dude you know they're not doing this run to satisfy us right? I'd be amazed if they were more than half aware of us at all, aside from the visit from Asher and the mystery man some way back

Of course they do it for us ultrarunners.
The Guinness Book records is only for the non runners. Mimi would hate it if she would say: "I got the Guinness record" but all ultrarunners would say: "Yes BUT you didn't provide enough evidence that you actually did run the whole distance."
An asterisk to her performance would be the worst would could happen to her.
Believe me.
Anyone know if Mimi is running by Philly? I'm in to that GILF vibe.
I'd tap that
Still in the game baby

Mimi wrote a post before she started, asking what standards of proof she could supply to make her run legit.

It’s very important for me to make sure that everything that happens on my run is above board and beyond reproach. To do this I will be doing the following to ensure there is no room for error.
I will have a Tracker on me while running so everyone can follow my progress.
There will also be a second tracker on the support vehicle or RV.
I will wear a GPS Suunto watch that will record my distance, time, pace and cadence while running. This will be downloaded onto Strava on a daily basis. (I have 4 watches)
There will be official starters in Los Angeles and at the finish in New York.
The crew will keep a detailed log book, obtain witness statements along the route, take photographs & video footage.
Receipts will be kept by the crew as additional proof.
I’m happy for people to come and join me along the route. No pacers are allowed so people who run with me have to run beside or behind me.
I’m not allowed to run on any interstates.
A film crew will be following me.
If I have missed anything out feel free to let me know as I want to get this right.

It was discussed 3 or so pages back. I was the person who brought attention to it. As of late Wednesday afternoon, the most recent Strava update from Sandy was Monday morning, so her data was 48 hours+ late. And she wasn't in some remote box canyon with no network access: her Garmin tracker showed she was in the city of Fort Collins Colorado. She finally updated Strava an hour or so after I made the post on Wednesday.
My reason for raising the issue was not to imply cheating by Sandy, but to point out the obvious double standard at work. At several times in the past, people on this thread had seized on Mimi's Strava update delays of a couple of hours as being a major issue and strong evidence of data tampering. Yet when Sandy had her own Strava update delay that was far far worse than Mimi's, people just shrugged it off.
Some will claim this double standard is justified, because they feel other pieces of Mimi's data are suspect. I don't agree with that. Each piece of data stands on its own, and should have a consistent standard of rigor applied.
So sometimes Strava updates are delayed. It's pretty normal. People need to stop posting "data tampering!" every time Mimi's update is 2 hours late.
