I would bet that eating disorders are much more 'prevalent' across the general population. Just take a look around at the mall. Obesity is FAR more 'prevalent' across the general population than eating disorders leading to anorexia among NCAA XC ladies.
Of course, we don't want anyone to have an eating disorder (to obesity or anorexia), but it is far from a 'problem' among NCAA ladies. Watching the race, I can't imagine that more than 1% are too far underweight. Almost all look fit and strong (a few overweight as well).
I agree with the OP that Brenna and Allie look fit and in good shape.
