I don't usually post on here but I was looking on advice on how to watch the Olympic trials marathon next weekend. My friends and I are gonna head out to watch it in person, and never having watched a race longer than 5k in person I don't really know how to attack it. With the LA course being loops would it be best to find one point and just watch them come around each time or are there people with better knowledge of the course so I will be able to maximize watching the race and seeing moves made and other factors of the race.
I know watching it on TV I'd get to see all of this, but being in southern California I want to experience the Olympic trials marathon in person.
Thanks to any advice given.
