Not bad!

Wow--and blew away three Ethiopians! What an exciting finish as she gapped the second place finisher.
Pure awesomeness. Couldn't be happier. Huge year ahead for her. Looking forward to huge things
Good, now maybe the hojos will get rid of those freaking 5000 vids from the from page.
And to top it off, she says Emma Coburn is "easy to look at" in her post-race interview with Ato, funny stuff.

No drug testing needed for Indoor or Outdoor 2 miles:
http://www.usatf.org/About/Anti-Doping/American-Record.aspxYeah, the two-mile is not an IAAF world record event, so no drug test needed.
What shoe does Jenny race in?

I'll admit I have not followed this closely but Emma was denied an AR by USTAF for not complying with their rules. If she had set a WR at a Diamond meet would it be possible for her to hold the WR but not the AR?
It's all about "official" distances. Of which the 2 mile is not...

The IAAF requires testing for any world record to be ratified. Not all national federations require tests to ratify national records. Two miles isn't a distance recognized for record purposes by either the IAAF or USATF so no testing required.
Good to know, thanks!

WTF? This just got a lot more complicated. Now there certain ARs you do need to be drug tested for within 24 hours if you want USATF to add them to their list, and some you don't? Just when we here on LR had it all figured out
Here's a better idea, let's just ignore USATF's list then we don't have to worry about all their red tape getting in the way of our athletes. If nobody sought their certification would their list even matter? It's already irrelevant and outdated when it comes to the 3000 SC.
I am shocked...SHOCKED the AR was this slow.

That is because the world's best runners do no stinkin' two miles.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
