Other than the participants, no-one outside the US and Caribbean has even heard of the World Relays. "Relays" events don't exist overseas.

Any relay time where the sum of the world's 5th-fastest seasonal PRs per event is FASTER than the "WR" is not a record.

Relays events don't exist overseas? Not in Ireland? Not in the UK? Not in Japan?

The fact that the women's DMR time is not currently fast is no reason to declare the event useless.

It wasn't that long ago that the women's steeplechase was new, and anyone who could break 10:40 was considered pretty outstanding.

Just run the thing a bunch more times on the post-collegiate level. The times will come down.

What about the 20,000m record on the track that the IAAF recognizes?

The en route 20K best is faster than the 20,000m track record.

Next, perhaps they could spray colors every other lap.
