Tennessee will definately be open as JJ's contract is up and they really stunk it up @ the SEC's. 11th place scoring 24 points really sucks for a program with such a great tradition. Not a single point scored in any event on the track!
Dave Hart doesn't have the sack to do this, although I agree JJ has done nothing but destroy a once-proud program. While high school running has improved by leaps and bounds over the past decade, UT has let the vast majority of in state talent go other places--NC State, Georgia, UVA, Ole Miss, Arkansas, etc.
JJ clark is getting luca' brazi'd
what's the deal at uconn?
word is jj has two years left on his deal - i can't see them buying him out
Contract ends this year.
Does the admin not care that Ball State is this bad in track? The head coach is a throws guy yet they have no throwers. It is a fairly tough throws conference but you'd think they would be better.
When Ball State eliminated men's track, you knew it was all over.
Wayne Phipps will not bring energy to the WSU program. Not sure what Moos is thinking. It is the PAC 12! Not sure if he realizes, but the WAC is made up of mostly teams that just became D1.

I am a HS coach. Two years ago I had a 2:17/5:15/19:30 XC girl on low mileage/little anaerobic work and only two years in the sport that was planning on attending Ball State. She wanted to walk on. She completed the online questionnaire, sent e-mails, and called regularly. The coach never returned a call or email until I contacted the AD and made it clear that the girl deserved a response even if it was "get lost." He finally contacted her and said she could run a time trial over 5000 meters when she arrived and if she could run 18:30 XC, she could walk on. She made it clear she was more of an 800 runner, and he said he understood but to be good at 800 she would have to run better than 18:30 on day one. She gave up and I am not sure if they have a single runner on the team that can run 18:30 or her HS times. She attends BSU and jogs to stay in shape. The coach either knows NOTHING about the sport or developing athletes or is simply so arrogant that he doesn't care to know. One point at conference is one more than I would expect from my encounter.
Anybody hear anything on UCONN, MIT, or Bryant? The only word I got from talking to other college coaches is "Stay away from Bryant", So what's going on?
