Just so you know, nobody outside of a small segment of New York runners associates "FM" with a girls high school cross country team.

Not only that, but I doubt theres a large enough population on the boards to care regardless.
I sense you are easily excited!!!!!!!!!!
There are several threads per year on this team. Anyone who follows high school XC knows exactly what the OP is talking about. That includes a significant portion of the readers of this site.
they can put 5 or 6 girls ahead of Tatnall's 5th.
they ran without their best runner.
It was their first test in a long season.
Still a great win for Tatnall

No.
I'm on the West Coast and I thought you were talking about the radio.
yes
Dear God! I thought somebody was jamming all the FM radio stations or something. Geez!
Have you tried jiggling the antenna?
Not counting the several threads about their loss, these threads aobut FM were also created in 2012.

All of them only refer to the team as FM in the title, and everyone knows what the thread is about. This team (boys and girls) has been on fire for as long as this message board has existed. In fact their boys and/or girls team has had a top 3 finish at Nike Team Nationals each year that the event has existed, including a girls score of 27 in 2010. If you don't know who this team is, you're out of the loop. It's the equivalent of using OU or CU when speaking about college teams. There are other teams using those acronyms, but you know who they're talking about.

Who or what or they?

I've been on the site regularly for over six years and thought you were talking about Floyd Mayweather.
Why didn't saratoga run? are they in a place to beat FM/Tatnall/Saugus/whoever else this year? I would assume so but it's weird not to see them at manhattan

Saratoga isn't great this year. Their projected 1 or 2 transferred out. Excellent top 2 but big gap after that. They lost to Assumption, KY, at Great American.
FM would have beat Tatnall today if their top runner had run and won (as she did last year).
where was Fanning?
Injured and to previous non-distance running enthusiasts who don't recognize the abbreviation, FM is Fayetteville-Manlius from Syracuse area, NY
Are you seriously comparing college branding, mostly due to the billions made off college football to a high school girls team.
I have read some of the threads but still don't know what FM stands for but do know its a HS team. I'm guessing you are the coach, assistant, parent or athlete (current or former). The posters are right, most don't care.
Is this the coach that says his team jogs every day and never pushes it?

Well its a hot thread right now, so many did care.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
