Sheridan was removed from the team for disciplinary reasons like Hickey. Was also speaking to the Longhorns. Source?
you are absolutely insane if you think sheridan was kicked off the team. Hickey was for drinking too much but ryan chose to quit on his team. Get your facts straight in future
Don't think so as there were some questionable activities taking place with regards to RS. Care to comment?
Leave this off a public message board, you inconsiderate twats.are your lives that boring?
It's a running message board. I'm sorry you know the guy, but he is a top runner and people want to know.To the person above, I don't know why he'd go to a SUNY but he went to iona because their damn good at running.

Can somebody explain what actually happened? I'm interested in knowing but there are so many conflicting stories I don't know which ones to believe.
The guys on the team want him out in a hurry. They don't care where he goes, as long as he is out by January. Ryan "I don't want friends, just training partners" Sheridan is a poison to the team.

You must be, or would be, pretty good in a creative writing class because your imagination is certainly running strong.

no wonder why hes transferring you probably suck and cry that you cant keep up
I have to say the Gaels should have put up with him and they would have had to check a trophy on the plane back to NY.
On another level, I think being on a team with so many foreign runners has to be somewhat difficult for an American runner. I don't know how he reacted to the situation when Mick was still there versus the current situation.

State school tuition + moderate scholarship = as close as he's likely to get to paying nothing.
Also, there are a few SUNY schools with coaches who can handle All-American level talent.
Really? Being on a team with so many foreign runners is difficult for the poor American? Are you serious? "Foreign" runners are what made my college running experience tolerable--it's the damn prima donna Americans that are hard to deal with.

Stony Brook put two women in the top ten on Monday.
Binghamton has a sub 4 miler who placed 43rd on Monday.
Albany has produced an All-American at 800m (Gerry Burns).

I am serious, but I personally would have welcomed the situation that Mick had created. I can't speak for Ryan, but maybe he came to Iona for Mick and wasn't interested in extending his cultural ties with the runners from other countries. When I was following the great XC season that was made better by the "Chasing Tradition" website, I really liked the Iona team a lot. Mick has a charisma that is hard not to notice. It's too bad that Ryan and his teammates were not able to form the kind of bonds that often accompany being tested together on the trails and in the meets as a team.
He is a great talent and I wish him the best on the Main Line.
