A new study out by the CDC:

"The agency looked at 7,162 cases, a small subset of the 122,000 cases in the U.S., but the findings provided a stark portrait. Of 457 people in that subset who were admitted to intensive care units, 32 percent suffered from diabetes; 29 percent had heart disease; and 21 percent had lung disease. Overall, 78 percent of people with Covid-19 admitted to the I.C.U. had at least one pre-existing condition. The study did not look at deaths."

This just reaffirms that those who are vulnerable to the effects of this disease need to protect themselves and shelter in place. Everyone else? Go about your normal lives, you'll be fine.

My state has an extensive set of data which is freely available to download for anybody, researchers or public. I have not checked, but I imagine that those are available for a bunch of other states as well, so go get it.

I doubt any type of data will convince some individuals. They will just shift justifications, as we see here daily.

For instance, I can see that about 9% of the people tested in my state have tested positive. About 14% of those confirmed positive cases have led to hospital admissions. The death rate is 2.2% of those cases (and most of them are very recently diagnosed, so it is likely to rise based on average days from diagnosis to death). I can also see breakdowns by age.

This very small (but statistically significant) set of data refutes a huge percentage of the troll points here, but they keep posting them anyway.

You have that all wrong. This disease primarily kills rich, old, white men. That is why we are sacrificing everything to save a few lives. The flu kills many children. Starvation kills millions of black children and we pay no attention. But when a disease comes along that can hit a prince or our own royalty, Tom Hanks, the media and the people who own them create mass hysteria which allows sheep to willingly give up their income to save Sir Hanks and others like him.
