I had the chance to chat to Webb today in Helsinki before the mens marathon. Seems like a pretty normal athlete to me. He was quite sensible about his run. He knows that he kicked too hard but that is what happens when you are trying to win! I can sympathise because I did the same in the Commonwealth Games 800 in 78. Enthusiasm beats you. I think that you dont know how lucky you are to have him.
