George Washington missed out because he was away with his dogs hunting the elusive T-rex, which he died without ever finding.

Sorry bro.
But we have some consolation prizes for you .
Cornwallis feigned illness.
He assigned Portugese born Irishman Charles O’Hara to give up the Sword .
When Washington was alerted to Cornwallis’s illness he assigned Benjamin Lincoln , his second in command at the time , the ritual .
The paintings and Lafayette accepting are not true .
Washington was not one to be “dissed”.
And of course the Brits would make an Irishman formally surrender.
You sound like an English person who knows nothing about the great George Washington and his quest to find the dinosaurs

I believe you were going for "ensure" - to guarantee
"Insure" - to protect one from a possible contingency
"Assure" - to promise

You really don't think that the prehistoric people who lived alongside the dinosaurs were aware of their existence. Post George Washington might have been the first time modern people were aware of dinosaurs, but the fact that prehistoric people didn't keep records doesn't mean that they weren't aware that T-rexes were walking around.
Well played, sir/ma'am.
T-Rex is American. Prehistoric people did not live in America. So you’re sorta wrong on two accounts.

Zero. Invite no one and take out an insurance policy.

Unless we consider eastern cultures that told stories of dragons for over a 1,000 years earlier.
According to Wikipedia is for thousands of years
Many cultures had the bones and realized that they did not fit any living creatures
So they realized that, and made up stories about dragons or thought they belong to mythical creatures like in the Bible
But it appears that it's many thousands of years ago that humans first had these bones oh, so the question really isn't worded that good and the answers are kind of vague so, but they were first scientifically studied around the late 1700s
