Wondering if shooting for sub 3 next weekend is a good goal? Ran a 1:22:50 half beginning of December. Last six weeks mileage is below. As long as the weather is good I feel like a sub 3 marathon is possible. During the half I felt strong finishing and ran fastest split for the last 5k.
55- no workouts week after half, 20 mile long run 7:30 pace.
65- 2 workouts: 6x800 @ 6:00, 8 mile tempo average 6:40, and long run 16 @ 7:30 pace
70- 2 workouts: 4x2 miles @ 6:18, 15 mile run with 2x5 miles averaged 6:40 and long run of 22 miles @ 7:40
65- 1 workout: 5x1200 @ 5:55, long run 17 @ 7:50
60- 1 workout: 10 mile marathon tempo averaged 6:40, 20 mile long run @ 7:40
50- 1 workout: 3x2 miles @ 6:20, 10 mile long run (this week)
