But Yuki is by far the better Marathon runner.

It looks like he's going for a 200 this week
200 miles?
Jim is the typical runner who excels in training with big numbers but has mixed results in his races.
200 miles for what? Doesn't make any sense.
Yup, nobody cares about Jim Walmsley thats why no one can stop talking about him.
This is letsrun, so we talk about what runners do.
Get used to it.
Jim is screwed. He needs to be doing marathon paced training on the roads, not long slow runs on the trails. He's screwed.
Reminds me of that Canadian guy who had a thread on here at the start of the year. He was studying in England and hitting crazy miles in training but no speedwork. Ended up running 2:35 or something in London after months of 130+ mpw.
This week he's now at 136 miles and 10,800ft of vert...and it's only Friday!!

If he runs 150 miles this week, he gets a pink ribbon from us.

It still is a pink ribbon, sorry.
While I agree he needs faster stuff, he hasn’t really run slower than 8min pace much at all, and has a number of sub 7pace runs. Not ideal, but he’s also not slogging 9min pace in the Grand Canyon every day
