Any of you more informed guys have a prediction on how fast cragg will go - I mean the guy has just got quicker and quicker - has the man got what it takes to go sub 13 outdoors???

Cragg will go about 1 second slower than Jorge, because Cragg is Jorge's bitch.
wait for it...here it comes again...the bitch slap will be loud this time again...cover your ears...
SSSSMMMAAAAACCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!
Facts......shut the hell up, you are so wrong!! Cragg will go about 2 seconds slower than Jorge!!
Ok, you got me there. I gave Cragg an extra second since he has been running well lately. Good point. I'll go with your suggestion. Either way, there's a bitch and a bitch slappee and both times it's Cragg.
You lot really have an outstanding wit. I mean cragg is torres bitch - I mean now thats a real come back - I was totally floored on all levels by that one. You may want to be a little more intelligent in your comeback - like Jorge will run 12:58 and cragg will be 1 or wait for it!! 2 seconds behind.
If you mean sub-13 THIS year outdoors, NO WAY.
But over the next few years, I he's shown it's a definite possibility, although not the best probability.
both jorge and cragg will probly break 13minutes somewhere down the road (ie olympic years would be ideal). but how have they NOT shown potential to do so?
Those of you saying the Jorge will be Cragg are sorely mistaken. you must not have been at nationals this weekend to see Cragg play with his competition in both races. There was never a time when he wasn't totally in control. He may not break 13 this outdoors but watch out for next year. Jorge was great during cross but Cragg is ready to rock and roll.
No way Jorge beats Cragg at anytime this indoor season, not ever. Outdoor, maybe if that's where the training is focused. I doubt anything less than 10k however.
You just wait until they race again, because Jorge owns Cragg. Cragg is his little girl.
When they race during the outdoor season, you will hear it...Cragg is about to be bitch slapped by Jorge again...wait for it...here it comes...
SSSSMMMMMMMAAAACCCCKKKK!!!!!!
Torres is an incredible runner and I was pumped to see him win NCAAs XC. However, I think that track is going to be different. I could see Cragg running as fast as 13:10 to 13:15 this year, probably closer to the 13:15. Torres might be able to run under 13:20, but I think that is about it this year. I would be shocked if either of them ran near 13:00 this year. That is an insanely fast time. In the next few years, possibly. But only 2 non-African runners have gone under 13:00 (Kennedy and Baumann). So, before we start talking about it being a sure thing, I think one has to consider the magnitude of running under 13:00.
Do we know yet whether Cragg is planning on running world outdoors? I know we have heard that worlds is a focal point for Torres, Ritz and Goucher. And then there is the issue of whether Torres is healthy.
For those who think Jorge will beat Cragg this year have you been asleep this whole indoor season or do you just like to smoke his pole? You obviously were not at nationals this weekend where Cragg had plenty more in the tank, and they were running as slow as 68's in the middle laps. MAybe they could have broke the collegiate record had it been pushed along in the middle. Personally I don't think Cragg will be beaten again as a collegian. Jorge is a tough bastard on the country but he can't match Craggs kick anymore than Boaz could. I think Cragg will run under 13:10 in the right race but will he even get in to a fast race before nationals??
One thing I do know is that the Arkansas guys are hitting up the 10k at Stanford in 2 weeks and I reckon Cragg and Lincoln will both run under 28 mins. If Jorge turns up he'll be made to look like a little girl!
Have we seen Jorge ever being dominant on the track? He is incredible in XC, but I just haven't yet seen his breakthrough on the track.
Didn't he run 13:26 or 28 last year at Stanford? That seems like a breakthrough to me. I don't necessarily think he can beat Cragg, but don't count Jorge out. He did outkick Cragg at nationals, and Jorge won't ever let up in the middle miles of a race. It is very possible to run the kick out of someone, and if anyone can run it out of Cragg it would be Jorge.
The real question is how long will Cragg be able to hold on before he goes to crap. He's been racing at a high level since October - Chile Pepper, Oklahoma meet, SECs, etc., NCAA cross, then over to the foul-smelling continent for European Cross, back to the USofA for 7:45 and 13:35, then 13:28 at NCAA indoors. The clock is ticking. If he is able to stay healthy through the spring he might run a really fast time at Mt. Sac or Stanford or something (13:15-13:20?) but by the time NCs roll around in June he will be crap on a stick.
You must not know much about Arkansas's training...
I don't know much about Arkansas training, but I am very curious. Honestly. I was watching the NCAA indoors today, and the same thought occurred to me (Cragg has been going pretty hard for awhile). What is Arkansas training? Did he have a couple of weeks off or what? I am really curious.
But only 2 non-African runners have gone under 13:00
I thought Cragg was from Africa??? So if he breaks 13:00, will we still say that only 2 non-africans have run under
13:00. Say he does, will we then say 3 non-africans have broken 13:00 merely b/c he is white?
cragg may have been born in africa, and in fact, he may have family in africa dating from a few generations back. however, he is of european descent. this is the same thing as saying that he is "white", or "caucasian". "black" people are of african descent. this is an evolutionary thing.
Go back far enough and everyone is of African decent.
