Might be a long shot if she’s interested, but I’d look at Kelly (Strong) Bean, who was an assistant at Washington when UW won the national title & went on to Cal Poly. She’s an ASU alum & worked with Dion at UW.
Kelly GTFO a long time ago to live the SLO (damn good) life with husband Jimmy that makes enough with Alter G for them to never have to return to the masochistic college coach lifestyle. And as long as the head distance coach at ASU doesn't have a full-time assistant distance coach, that signals that ASU has abandoned the distances - which began with Kraft's abandonment of Louie Q (why he left) - which means this is only a pit stop position when you're the token distance coach meant to babysit XC. And who can blame them when you're up against Stanford, Oregon, Colorado and the others who are all-in on distance like Washington, Oregon State and Utah?
No decent distance coach will touch that job. They will hire 4th sprint coach to fake it through XC and make sure the new Sprint U is ready for track.
Dartmouth named a director of t/f and xc today
What happened to Stephen Sousa at Wingate? Is he going elsewhere or chased out by van lierop? Lots of new grad assistants there and I don’t even remember them posting for them. Budget cut downs or bigger issues in the sun valley?
Interesting with Sousa...considering he coached the #2 hurdler in the nation last year for 60MH. However, is no where to be seen on the website and like the previous post said it is all GA's. Seems odd and counter productive considering when MVL came in, he had a full staff of full time coaches, and now only 2 distance coaches are full time. Giving up on all the other events and only worried about distance?
Sousa left to go back to school. GA at Lenior Rhyne
I love this hire! Great to see a black women get a position that is HEAVILY dominated my white men. I wish her all the best.

Why not just do grad school at Wingate?
This one is curious. Justin Decker has been the head coach of the combined Track/XC program, which had been distance only until last year. The job description does not say that the Track coach will report to Decker, and they're not advertising for an XC coach. So have they separated the programs, with Decker remaining as XC head/distance assistant?

Your guess is as good as mine, BUT that sounds about par for the course in this instance
Wait. So he goes from head track coach at wingate to GA at LR? Sounds fishy.
ASU have their man for the distance job.
Who will end up at Penn?
ETA on announcement?
dixie state to ASU?
