I've been wearing my free 5.0's for 3 - 4 mile runs the last few weeks and everything's been great. Just wanted to see if anyone has gotten injured by increasing their milage in their frees.
Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I broke my femur. It hurted badly.
The shoes are too heavy and just a marketing gimmick by Nike to sell heavy, overly engineered cushioned shoes to the masses. This inhibits the natural ability of the foot to strengthen and naturally will lead to injuries.

......Despite the fact that the force pattern running in the Free and barefoot are nearly identical. Spoken like a true minimalist; that is, one who doesn't let facts get into his way.
Actually, it was spoken like someone who was mocking a "true minimalist."
yeah, becuase that heel in the Frees isn't elevated at all. stop believing Nike propaganda

This is yet another classic post. You completely ignored the fact that despite all its cushoning, raised heel, and other unnatural features which you people continually fret over, the Free reproduces the same force pattern as barefoot running.
But it doesn't allow you to fully extend your calves (because of the heel)! The force pattern may be the same, but the muscles you use aren't.
yeah keep believing Nike propaganda, while your muscles rely on their over-cushioned, over-engineered shoes
