The beer available at a student union pub or glass of wine at the on-campus hotel aren't what cause/contribute to the crazy behavior exhibited by most undergrads. For a long time I was a supporter of "dry" campuses (obviously its a legal issue, age wise, for most on-campus students as they are under 21). But now I wonder if allowing casual alcohol consumption in dorms (where there are RAs to make sure things aren't too out of hand) would lead to more moderation, as opposed to all the students who want to party flooding out to frats, houses, etc. in college town and congregating there.
