Have the Brojos offered Rupp the opportunity to wear a LetsRun singlet this Sunday?
This would be the greatest thing to ever happen at Chicago.

Speaking of the skull logo, does anyone know the origins of the skull and crossbones?
You forgot Galen taking another silver or bronze in the marathon - he is going to crush in the heat and humidity of Tokyo......
But Galen may go out on his own of course (still be coached by Salazar) and not be a part of this new group that will form.

What were you blocked for? We were blocked as well.
For excessive journalistic professionalism, no doubt.
if you think nike supports running you're an idiot.

Is he done?
Abetting and assisting when he was a college coach? All the infractions occurred before his time at NOP. Did you even read the report?

Julian worked for NOP in 2008.
Same time frame as the testosterone experiments.
Finally, someone posting who predicts accurately what is really going to happen. I know a lot of posters on Lets Run hate Nike--I understand. But they are generally a smart company. Even their "controversial" moves -i.e. Kaepernick-are well-considered. Although I don't necessarily love their shoes (I prefer Adidas) I always have to give them a grudging credit for doing the shrewd, though not necessarily the morally right thing. I sure hope they continue to support track and running, because as soon as they start to pull out, it probably means the sport is no longer feasible as a business. Again, I'm not saying this is good, but it is economically realistic.

Probably retirement and in the booth with Tom Hammond.
Your grammar vomit has little to do with reality and much to do with envy and stupidity.

No, cheating shut it down. Calling out cheating is what supporters of the sport should be doing. Running doesn’t need nike. They are in to sell cheaply made shoes at a high price no matter the detriment to the sport. Real fans of the sport just want fair competition. The evil empire has fallen and now good has an opportunity to reign again.
Allegheny Nike, wow, blast from the past.

But since they're completely gone now, NOP will live on like an urban legend that's actually a true story.
When you read about the cocktail of stuff they were putting in to the athletes you wonder whether the future "true story" will be the health of the runners.
Scary I reckon.
Long John Silver? ?
I would have done the same if I were Nike CEO. After all the hate that literally was being thrown over NOP, Nike and Alberto for years this was going to happen. Hope the entire US athletics keyboard warrior community is happy now with their job well done. Envy and self-righteousness has shown it's full power. It's a sad day for US athletics

I agree that this is a sad end result for NOP. They should have stayed and tried to revamp and come back stronger after the turmoil. Perhaps Alberto wins his appeal. Instead they choose to completely fold. This does not say anything about the athletes, but the weak minds running the show. But since they're completely gone now, NOP will live on like an urban legend that's actually a true story. It's a joke that fraudsters such as Jama Aden and Renato Canova can do whatever they want, yet someone who tries to stay within the rules goes down. This sport is a joke.
Hopefully, Murphy can work with Julian or find a new coach and get a reference in his career as he hasn't improved much since joining NOP.
A sad day, but you're dreaming if you think the keyboard warriors here or anywhere else were the cause. The lesson here is: Stay out of gray areas, kids.
Ironically this forum and all the crap talking, allegations and haters likely contributed to the downfall of NOP.
This forum is either the biggest fans of the sport or ex athletes who never came close to the success of some of the NOP guys and would do anything to see them all banned just out of shear jealousy, it’s truly sad. Rather than supporting our top end athletes Americans rather choose to hate them. Today is a sad day for distance running.
Parker’s not suffering any embarrassment. You’re very naive. The most significant thing that happened to him today was when a Wall Street firm raised their target price from 100 to 115. They didn’t take any of this into account assuming they even know about it. It’s irrelevant. They may have some weight on the NBA/China Nike situation
