i'm a average runner who has only managed 20:22 for 5km and 41:45 for 10km. About 3 months ago i decided to try and improve so i starting running everyday after really only doing about 25-30 on 5 days per week for the past few years.
I had fallen off the running about 23:50ish for 5km so i really wanted to get back into and improve. After about 2 months without missing a day I ran 20:42 for 5km . I even added some structured seesions like 6x1mins or 4x2mins reps every wednesday on a dirt trail at race pace or quicker.
3 months ago i would have struggled to do 47 mins for 10km , now i'm running 47-48 mins easy in training.
I figure whatever i'm doing I should keep with it. I have only gone to about 40 miles per week. What should I do to keep improving and hopefully hit a sub 20?
