McD's in India has a fully Indianized menu. In the Netherlands they have veggie burgers, sweet potato fries, and all-around quality ingredients. Don't know why this became a negative American tourist stereotype

No
At the McDs in Wisco you can have cheese on your fries, and milk instead of soda. The peeps of Wisconsin love their cows.

McD's food is not good so of course, it's a negative American stereotype. it's cheap addictive crap. And yes, I eat it. Sometimes $3 for cheap addictive crap is a good value, especially when i crave salt.
One thing that IS hilarious is that other countries tend to do McDonald's much better than us. It is worth going to Mcd's once in other countries you visit just to see the difference.
McDonalds in Thailand is much cheaper for a Big Mac combo meal than it is in the USA,
Interesting. I'll be in the UK, France, and Italy later this summer. It never crossed my mind to go to McDonald's.
Although I do remember going to a McDonald's in Hungary about 20 years ago. I thought it was awesome that you could get a Red Bull (the OG, proper, uncarbonated version) instead of a soda.
I've been to McDonalds in 7 countries all over the globe.
I like the fried pies in other countries.
I agree with this take.
the one in waikiki serves SPAM on rice, srs.
Worked in India for a few months and took my vegan teen daughter with me. We did eat and McDs a few times. She liked that the veg side and non-veg side were completely separate with nothing touching meat on the veg side. Had a McCurry at a McD, which was great, but the one nearest our apartment didn't carry it. Don't see it on their menu now (below).
In the 80s I worked in India before they allowed imports. Went to a "Big Mac" restaurant, which was an unauthorized copy of McDonalds complete with Ronald McDonald. Pretty much same menu as US but with mutton instead of beef. And CampaCola to drink.
In Mexico you can get McMolletes.
"Would you like beer with that?" (In English even!)
Mango dipped ice cream cones!
In Austria, the McCafe desserts and drinks were excellent, and very competitive in quality and price with the mid-range bakeries.
Compared with coffee shops/bakeries/patisseries in the USA, the McCafe in Vienna would be top shelf quality at half the price.
