Who's ready for XC?!?
Overall I don't really see many things changing in the GLIAC standings from the last few years. On the men's side, GV obviously takes a hit with Panning's graduation, but they are so deep year in-year out that I don't see it costing them a title. SVSU is going to be a close second though. From the stellar frosh they've had this year, this could be their chance of chasing a title. Michigan Tech has been crushing it on the track this year, and I think that they are one of the teams that will break through in cross and have a shot at qualifying for NCAAs come fall. In that same vein, the squads from Wayne State (no idea how they've been doing since no track team) and Northwood have steadily improved to the point of being legitimately competitive in this conference. After that a gap has formed, as the teams from Ashland and Ferris have been steadily declining over the past few years despite each team having a few top 20 guys last year. Other than that an individual here or there from other teams will be in the mix (David Mitter, A davenport runner or two, and some parkside kids).
Any strong updates or predictions on the women's side?
