Get over yourselves, nerds.
Are they setting up a spinoff of Arya exploring West of Westeros?
I liked Jon Snow's dog.

GRRM is probably setting up his next book.
He gave the show runners all of the character end points, assuming they went the same direction.
I was fine with how it ended other than Bran becoming king because it was so left field. I feel like the second half of the episode could have been 2-3 episodes itself.

the episode was OK for first half then just fell off a cliff during that king council where they made Bran king.
for 8 YEARS nations have been battling for the throne then they just give it to Bran like they were picking a bowling team captain. There's no way everyone would have been ok with that, ESPECIALLY after Sansa declares herself ruler of her own independent kingdom........i mean you have crazy bird boy who loves throwing people out tower for questioning his power and he's just going to be "yeah sure......Starks rule everything......I'll go along with that." that whole scene was rediculous.
I feel the episode could have ended when the dragon flew away , everything after that was poorly done cheesey filler.
Either spend a full episode showing the Starks and the Unsullied battling it out/maneuvering and then another episode on choosing a king or just end it when the dragon flies away. doing a cheesey 20 min montage was a poor choice.
overall was best episode of the crap season though.
Well I think the lords they were left were all afterthoughts and nobodies anyway. Really they all just wanted it to be over.
Everyone who mattered politically are all dead. Tyrells, Lannisters, Martells, Barathians, No one really knew what the heck to do but they are too used to having a king to let any other government work. So they decide on a selection by the lords. Really they let the North go because it’s the strongest and largest kingdom and has a historical precedent as it was free previously.

Agree that the scene where they chose Bran as king was painfully corny. But the 4 main surviving characters, Jon, Sansa, Arya, and Tyrion would be ruled out, so that leaves Bran as the logical choice. It was just really clumsy they way they got there.
I was thinking for a few minutes that Jon would fly off on Drogon as his last appearance. That would have been pretty cool
Jon Snow seemed extra mopey.
They got too cute for their own good. The entire series has pointed to Jon as the rightful king, the biggest plot point of the entire series was his lineage. When it comes to the finale that become a big "meh."
I think the writers decided they didn't want to be a conventional hero tale, so they moved the entire story away from Jon.
They elevated at minor nothing character in Grey Worm so they could have a black actor in a role. (Gotta have diversity ya know.)
They never really "got" the whole 3 eyed Raven thing, so the Bronn character was a continued frustration. Is he powerful? Can he warg into a dragon? Is he not that powerful, just slightly clairvoyant?
Arya is this assasin bad ass, but after killing the Knight King, she just kinda lopes around Kings Landing while it burns, then doesn't do crap.
Cersei was the baddest bad guy that wasn't the Knight King, and she gets killed by bricks falling on her, no confrontation, no drama.
Jaime's story arch was turned to garbage by him going back to Cersie and him hooking up with Breann was forced at best.
Bad writing. How those guys put that together, read it over and said "yeah, we nailed it!!" is beyond me.
