There are starting to be multi-stall unisex restrooms. Wouldn't that allow many of the same benefits as a 'family bathroom"?
A very good resource here from the American Restroom Association for understanding 'family restrooms':

I still see bathrooms that have a little blue wheelchair sign on the door. I have a developmental diability and have never found it offensive.
I hear what you are saying; but it makes the same amount of sense as abolishing handicapped parking spaces because they are "offensive".
You know that usually handicapped stalls are in the regular bathroom? So a dad with his daughter might feel awfully awkward heading into the women’s room to assist her in the stall.
Family bathrooms are there with the assumptions that you will either be handling multiple children, mixed genders, or need a changing table.
And stop being weird about this.
Urine Idiot!

It is because I have only recently seen family bathrooms and i want to know whether I am allowed to use them or not.
I figured it had something to do with being single/married/children.
Nonetheless, bathrooms are a topic that conservatives take very seriously. To my understanding, the redneck conservatives believe that the LGBT bathrooms are just a sneaky way for heterosexual men to "sneak inside" and masterbate to a young female in the stall next door. They dont believe the man thinks hes a woman. They think its a scam so he can observe young girls just because hes wearing a wig.
That's what conservatives believe. And its bullcrap.
Since conservatives are family centric people, I assume that they would support family bathrooms. Just like ththeththey support christian holidays.
I’ve used family restrooms by myself. It’s like the handicap stall in a regular restroom. Anyone can use it but if a wheelchair person rolls in then common courtesy is let them use the handicap stall. Same with family restrooms. If a family is waiting it’s common courtesy to let them use it first before you go in by yourself. Family restrooms are mostly for changing diapers and such. It’s easier to have a whole room to yourself than stand in a regular restroom.
ok the lack of space argument makes sense.
I thought it may have something to do with infant feces having a stronger odor than adult feces.
hath that were the argument, I would beg to differ.

Interesting opinion you have.
I assume that the family bathroom is acceptable for a 45 year old man to take his 90 year old father inside and change his diaper, correct?
Sure.....why not?

I thought you were a conservative at one point? Have you changed your views over the years?

Hello all. Honest question here.
We live in an era in which there are many different bathrooms for different identities. I understand the mens bathroom. I understand the womens bathroom. I understand the unisex and transexual bathroom. However, I do not understand the bathroom that says "family" on the outside.
Does it mean an entire family must use it?
Does it mean only an elderly person can use it? Is it for large or small families, and discriminating against ppl who have no family?
What exactly is a "family" bathroom?
They exist so I can poop in peace, quiet, and privacy. I laugh heartily when an exasperated mother and her crying child try the locked door, not knowing that within resides a full-grown man sitting atop the porcelain throne writing silly posts on LetsRun.
I strongly side with conservatives on 2 issues. Guns and Indian mascots.
I side with liberals on all other issues.
My views have never changed on any issue. My family does not care about politics and none of us have ever voted. I also do not care about politics and I have never voted.
You will see me write alot about guns and Indian mascots because those are the only things that are important to me. But i have never voted and never will.
Find me a president who ONLY CARES about guns and Indian sports mascots and I will vote for him. Until that day comes, I do not care about politics.

Uh ok. Then it should be called the "parent-child" bathroom.
Why is this level of privacy needed for a parent? To me it's just giving them a private place to abuse the child.
Are you related to the Brojos because this is the special kind of stupid one or both of them come up with from time to time.
That is if time to time is virtually every day.

Rights is right, and wrong is wrong. I was introduced to every political issue when i was 6 years old. I immediately knew where I stood on every issue. To this day I have stayed ROCK HARD on every same issue. No change. Period. Once I analyze something, even at 6 years old, its a done deal. My persona is my persona.
