I mean if you are paying money for it, yeah, college should be at least decent!
Run to and front work, it saves so much time
OP, you should run commute if possible. This is the most efficient way to double
Treadmill after work if it’s unbearable
and run outside in the evening.
Why do you need to double though? I don’t think doubling is necessary unless your an elite runner.
I love in the south too so if I must run when it’s blistering hot out I find a bike path with water stops and shade
Go to bed at 7pm. Thats 8.5 hours of sleep to get up at 330am to run 3 miles before work. Or dont double, you dont really need to double until youre getting over 80 miles a week anyway.
I don't see point in doubling with full time job. Just go with one training per day and you'll be fine
lol just run once per day. your lack of sleep and stress is going to affect your performance. doubling is not all that
* Run at lunch.
* When its hot, run with a wet shirt, a wet hat, and a bottle of water.
* Pick a route with plenty of drinking fountains.
If it's that hot your runs are probably garbage. How about singles in the AM? 60 min a day plus 90 min on Sunday. If your easy pace is 7:30 and your uptempo pace is 6:00-6:30, that's:
M - 8 easy
T - 9 to 10 which includes warmup, workout, cooldown
W - 8 easy
Th - 8 easy
F - 9 to 10
S - 8
S - 12 to 13

62 to 65 mpw
It's in singles so evening runs don't interfere with your early bedtime. It's all run in the cool mornings so the runs are better quality your body isn't as trashed and can recover. Not sure what you're training for but this is fine summer training until cooler temps come around.
The treadmill isn't that bad for harder runs like long intervals. Get a small portable fan and find a gym with air conditioning and you can get some harder workouts on the treadmill, and only suffer outside for the easy runs. Then add short morning runs in when you feel like it.

A full time job is the best reason to double. I get all my mileage from doubles. Lunch runs most days and after work once in a while. I have a family so I can't run after work everyday, but I can always run at lunch. If I'm training for marathons, there's the after dinner run. I start at 6:30 am and I don't want to run before work.
OP, do you have a family? If not, no excuse not to run 80mpw. You asked about doubles so you must be interested in running more.
Isn't Wetmore training infamous for long singles? That's got to be good enough for you.
Become a garbage man.
Good money, good workout before it gets hot, and afternoons/evenings free for your double. Plus a great background piece on you when you're in the Olympics.
Not serious then... wrote:
20-30 minutes between runs does not constitute a double bro lol That is all one big run with a 20 minute break in between. You need at least 3 hours between runs to get the benefits of doubles.
This. Figure out what a double is and why you should do it before asking about doing doubles
That, and if you're not getting enough sleep you aren't even receiving the full training benefit from your singles
1) Go to bed earlier
2) Get up earlier
Not too difficult to figure out.
