A better question would be to ask why the Democrats rely so heavily on people who are not citizens of this country. Aren't they the same party that is so concerned about "Russian Interference"? Do they not share similar concerns about citizens of other countries living among us and participating directly in our political process?
You do know these people do not vote. Please provide evidence that these non citizens vote and have any effect on election results.
You do realize that individual immigrants in this country are not the same as a hostile foreign government spreading false information on social media and hacking a political party's emails. That is such a blatant false equivalency. How are these non citizens able to participate in our political process? Please explain that first. I can at least explain exactly what Russia did and there are documents available to read on exactly how the Russians did it. You can debate if it had an effect, but that would just be showing more willful ignorance on your part.
If it was about fair representation, we could get rid of the electoral college which would do more than ask everyone on the census if they are citizens. Which if you even read the article, you'd know we already ask that question, but just not everyone. So, again why change the way we do it? It has already been shown it won't improve accuracy. So the only reason is to find out exactly where non-citizens live.
