So I'm a college 800 runner, and for the first time in 2 years I won't be doing XC in the fall. My 800/1500 times have fallen since XC training -focusing just on building mileage with little workouts -l and I would like to get back to a more traditional 800-specific summer of training.
I need help with scheduling and spacing out workouts within a given cycle(s) (2 weeks)
Types of workouts would include:
Easy runs
Tempo/fartlek workouts
Tempo intervals (800-mile repeats)
Hill repeats (30 sec - 1 min range)
Short sprints (on track/hill)
Lifts
Long-ish run (no longer than 70 minutes)
How should I space these out? Obviously I won't be able to accomplish all of these in a week, or even two weeks, but how should I space them out within a month or so?
