Jeez, think of all the good that could have been done in the world with that $500-grand.
It didn't even get them their degrees. Total absolute waste of money.

Fake News. The USC University would not defend them from coping with Bullies.
Personally, I would have stood up to them, but I can understand.
Seems like they preferred ASU as it's a better Party School, but really USC can't be bad for that?

The $500 grand already spent is a drop in the bucket compared to what they are about to spend on attorney fees, IRS fines and penalties, etc on top of lost future earnings from dead careers plus possible jail time.
2:50 PM PT -- Tresemme has also announced they are cutting ties with Olivia. They stated, "We take this very seriously and are no longer working with Olivia."
12:35 PM PT -- Hallmark has cut ties with Lori Loughlin, a longtime collaborator with the company. In a statement obtained by AP, Hallmark's parent company, Crown Media, says it is no longer working with Lori and has stopped development of all productions she's involved in, adding it was "saddened" by the allegations. Hallmark's first tragic ending ever. That's a shame.
12:08 PM PT -- Olivia's page with clothing brand Princess Polly is no longer active.

“Joshua applied to some of the colleges where the cheating took place and did not get in,” says award winning former Oakland school teacher Jennifer Kay Toy of her 4.2 graduating son. “Joshua and I beleived that he’d had a fair chance just like all other applicants but did not make the cut for some undisclosed reason,” Toy adds in the multi-claim fraud class action filed in a San Francisco court.

“You can’t kick me out! Because I quit!”
These 50 people are just the tip of the iceberg. This "college coach" supposedly got 700+ plus kids into college going back to 2011. He also said that the SAT/ACT cheating part hasn't failed in over 25 years. I want the names of all these cheaters to go public. I don't care if these kids/adults knew their parents cheated on their behalf or not. These schools need to then kick out all the kids that cheated their way in and revoke all the deplomas for those that graduated. That's step one. Step two should go after the huge donors that paid for their dumb kids to get in. I understand schools need donors and I'm not against admissions pushing these kids through as long as they first legitimately hit the academic standards. Same should go for athletics.
I know this isn't how the world works but it should be. Let's embarrass those that cheated in the past, if it opens one spot for a deserving kid it's worth it.
Where is your deploma from?
I wonder if this guy got his scholarship, because his father is a Congressman? https://uwbadgers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1340

https://www.courthousenews.com/students-file-class-action-over-college-admissions-bribery-case/I just came here to post this. Nice money grab by students who presumably got in through legitimate means but clearly would have gamed the system had they had the resources...
I don't think it's a "nice money grab" by those two Stanford students (one of whom has since dropped out as a named plaintiff in the lawsuit). Plaintiffs in putative class actions like this one can expect to get very little compensation for their role as class representatives (unless they're engaging in a highly illegal kickback scheme), and neither of these two has a reasonable claim for anything more than nominal damages. What they do get out of this lawsuit is a lot of bad publicity. One of them even had to admit that she was rejected by USC! (The other was rejected by Yale, which is probably only mildly embarrassing to her, but that admission is still going to tick off a number of other Stanford students and alumni, and will undoubtedly make some Yalies even more smug.)

Minorities are granted admission to schools despite having lesser qualifications. The system we have is what you get until affirmative action is abolished and the corrupt NCAA is dismantled.

The definition of the word liberal is "open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values". Breaking the law is a liberal behavior because it discards the traditional value of honesty. That's the literal definition.
Buckingham is also a generous donor to the Democratic Party. She gave $35,800 to the Obama Victory Fund and $30,800 to the DNC in 2012. She gave more than $22,000 to support Gillibrand's races.
During the 2016 cycle, Huneeus gave $33,400 to Hillary Clinton's super PAC. He's given over $150,000 the DNC and DCCC, $60,000 the Nancy Pelosi Victory Fund, $10,000 to Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) and thousands more to various other California candidates.
Flaxman donated to Hillary Clinton's campaign and gave thousands of dollars to the Democratic Party in states including Colorado, Maine, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. He also donated to several Republicans, albeit on a far less frequent basis. Several years earlier, in the 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns, he also spent upwards of $125,000 supporting Republicans.
Caplan shelled out thousands of dollars to support Democratic candidates in Connecticut, Indiana, Florida, Arizona, and Nevada. His lavish political spending used to be bipartisan. In 2011 and 2012, he gave tens of thousands of dollars to both Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney's campaigns.
Caplan gave the maximum allowable donation to Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. He donated an additional $25,000 to the Hillary Victory Fund and $22,300 to the Democratic National Committee in 2016, months before Hillary Clinton lost to Trump. Caplan began giving to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.) in 2005.
Huffman has donated thousands of dollars since 2016 to Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.), according to the Federal Election Commission's site. Prior to that, she donated frequently to Obama.
Sad. They got caught in one of the downsides of fame. Hopefully their careers will bounce back.
Crisis experts say that, yes, there will be an impact and that the negative headlines will persist for as long as their criminal cases slowly unfold. But experts also say it’s possible that their careers will survive, though in what state is unknown.

"Helping" would be working with your kid on their academics so that they are prepared to crush the SAT on their own.

Affirmative Action was ORIGINALLY A De-Facto Reparation to black for historical injustices, Then it became political and many other groups were included, now it seems it goes to ALL GROUPS who underachieve collectively (though women get it even though they tend to do better than males in schools/academics, except science and math) Asians are punished individually because as a group they over achieve collectively, Asians in fact are punished for their hard work (They tend to study WAY MORE than any other group.
We badly need a TRUE MERITOCRACY.
Reparation to blacks

More like "helping" their own egos. It's has much more social cache to say that your kids are at USC, Stanford, Yale, etc versus the junk schools they would be going to if they applied to schools legitimately. I'm sure there was a little bit of wanting to help their kids out but that was dwarfed in most cases by wanting to increase their own status/prestige.
