Disqualifiers/red flags are important. No lazies, crazies, fatties, sickies, mommies, feminists. Never sign up for the problems that go with people like that.

hopefully not my keys or the remote.....jk thats really gross but I couldn't resist bc I though it was so funny
but Japanese girls seem cool
Besides the obvious factor being attracted to someone that looks and seems healthy, the #1 thing that I care about is how well we get along, because we ultimately will be spending a lot of time together and I would like to enjoy each others' company. That encompasses a number of characteristics that differ between each person I find myself getting along with well.
Unfortunately, we live in a very superficial world and nobody seems to really care much about this factor.

X 1,000,000
No fatties is good. Also no anorexic angry runner chicks. Just be a reasonable “in shape” without obsessing.
No one has brought this up yet, but for me tattoos are a big no-no

+1
Tats just junk up otherwise good looking women.
An indication early on that she actually wants to be with me is a plus. Like eye contact, and maybe a believable smile.
I was interested to see someone say he didn't want someone who "pretended to be stupid." For a short time, I had a girlfriend who was beautiful, articulate, working to an MBA, and was an Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier. But every once in awhile, she would lapse into baby talk. Are there neighborhoods in this country where that's considered attractive? Because mine isn't one of them.

"Likes shopping"?!? I hope you are kidding. Of course, if you are not that would explain a great deal about you.
Also explains why he linked making over $100,000/year and having a girlfriend as criteria required before posting here again.
So I know this sounds awful, but we had a maxim in college. If they ran the 5k or farther, stay away. Loco. Typically proved to be true. Milers - ok, but it's a gamble. 800 - usually pretty hot, but with some issues. Worth the trade off though. And if you were fortunate enough to land a sprinter - well done.
We also had a theory about girls who smoked in HS. 100% validation.
For the sake of reminding the world that there are a lot of different people out there:
Two baseline standards for me: better be a feminist and needs to have a strong sense of direction/ personal drive/ ambitions.
Being a feminist tells me she's not stupid and has learned to think for herself, which tells me we'll actually have something to talk about.
Personal ambition means that she's a person and not a robot, and that she won't need me to provide a life for her. An independant woman is amazingly attractive to me.
While looks are always on the table- what does it mean? Tanned, dyed bloned-haired, shinny clothing I think has become ingrained as some kind of universal sign of attractiveness for some reason. Caked on makeup... ugh. F that.
Attractiveness is an inner glow. The way a person carries theirself defines a lot about physical characteristics.
What does a guy find attractive in a woman, I guess that depends on what kind of guy you want.
A female version of themselves.
Their mothers
Those that are bright, articulate and attractive get the first look.
Physically strong endurance wise and a polymath.
I once met female chessplayer who tricked me into a transposition
and pointed out two missed mates (by not taking a pawn). Oh, well.
Personally I find looks vastly overrated, as long as I'm not repulsed by a person I'll give them a shot. The biggest thing I look for is loyalty. Does this person have your back? I don't want someone who is sarcastic or puts me down, I want someone who is a partner. I want to build them up and I want them to build me up, but that doesn't mean straying away from the hard conversations, it just means approaching them with patience and respect.
TLDR version: Loyalty

Best answer.
So, it sounds like you would be more attracted to your wife’s boyfriend.
