You mean when they plugged in Matt Cassel, lost 6 fewer games than the past season with a ridiculously easy schedule. Brady has traditionally been good against pressure. This year he’s been hurt (sprained MCL) so he’s struggled. He also gets rid of the ball incredibly quickly, so if you want to penalize him for having less success when the play doesn’t go as planned and he has to hold onto the ball — that’s a lack of understanding of football. How about Pats losing on Tyree fluke catch, no hold called, no forward progress. That wasn’t Brady — his O-line fell apart and the defense gave up a fluky sequence. Brady is great in the system but he is excellent no matter what.
Yea, they plugged in a guy (Cassel) who didn't start on his HS or College teams, who did not play any NFL games and still won 11 games. Think about that? There is no better proof that the system is the thing.
No, Brady is not good against pressure, that is how the Giants beat the Pat's and Brady in TWO superbowls, Tom turtles if someone breathes on him to heavily. You can call the catch lucky and that's why the lost, the reality is that the highest scoring offense in the league was held to 16 points, 15 less than they had been averaging, Brady could not get it done under pressure.
And one last thing, he gets rid of the ball quickly because that is the system, short crossing routes, dink and dunk down the field and get big gains on yards after the catch.
