I just realized that the Saratoga team from 2005, also sent a boy to Footlocker that year, making a total of 5 athletes from a single school.

Yup, the twins took 2nd and 9th in 1985. Also in 1987, Palos Verdes had a boy (10th) and girl (24th).

As others have pointed out, the Saratoga Springs (NY) girls team sent 4 back in 2004, and none of them were seniors. In 2005 those same 4 made it a second time. From what I can tell, none of them are related.
As you've seen, it's actually not that uncommon for a school to send multiple athletes. However, the majority of the time when it happens, siblings are involved. That's another reason that Saratoga team is so unbelievable.
Probably the toughest region to qualify through, too. 'Toga could probably have qualified at least five that year in the South Region.
Matt Pereira and Brian Griffith from Lake Zurich in 2016
Conroe McCullough (now known as The Woodlands)

Starting with Freddy, the Rocha/Braz Family had him, his sister, his brother-in law, his niece and his nephew all qualify. Help me with some of their names.

The boy that qualified from Saratoga, Greg Kelsey, was actually their #2 guy. Their #1 guy (Steve Murdock) got spiked in the qualifier and DNFed, otherwise would have qualified easily.
Two of those Saratoga girls (Blood and Lane) did not run on Saratoga's team that season, for what it's worth. Their 2004 team did send 4 girls, but two of them (Lane and Davidson) were qualifier-level runners who transferred to Saratoga for running.
Should have been six wrote:

To be fair, Lane and Davidson were part of the Argyle team that won NYS Class D championships in 2002 and 2003 with a team comprised entirely of middle schoolers. The school board refused to fund the team and the girls scattered.
Remember Argyle? wrote:

If by "scattered", you mean "went to neighboring Greenwich while Lane and Davidson went 25+ miles away to Saratoga", then yeah, they scattered.

The Davis brothers both qualified for Mead in 93. Matt placed 3rd and Micah 10th. Skiy DeTray qualified the next year.
I had thought the Flathead teams from the late 90s sent multiple guys but it Clary and Vidal never qualified, just Winegar.

Actually, I stopped looking one year too soon. Watkins and Vidal both made it as seniors in 2000. Man that run of teams from 98-00 was stacked. Three qualifiers, and Clary who didnt qualify was better than Watkins or Winegar.
From a quick look at south results it appears to happen a lot. Good training partners help.

Saratoga did it twice in 2004 and 2005, sending 4 athletes each time. There have been a couple instances of twins or siblings qualifying in the same year. There have been many teams capable of sending two athletes that chose to race NXN regionals instead, because if you have two runners at that level the chances are good that you have 3 more within 100 seconds, which will almost always get you to NXN.
Back in 1989 twins Brant and Kyle Armentrout placed 15th and 17th. They both went to Mount Tabor HS in North Carolina.
