I’m a freshman who in 8th grade ran on a track team and won the mile in the city meet ( I ran a 5:32) I didn’t train over the summer (oops) and just finished my first cross country season in High school with a pr of 18:21 ( without a base) and I loved it , I want to get more serious about running now and I going to start running in early January for a base for track, my ultimate goal is to make state senior year in track and or cross country , my goal for this year is to break 5 minutes which I hope is doable I really want to be successful and I’m willing to put in work and effort, I’m thinking about running 30-35 miles a week for my base . Any tips or training advice and is it doable ? My 800 time is kinda slow 2:30 in 8th grade and my 400 is 1:02 also in 8th and my two mile is around 11:20 I think
