The 40 is bullshit, didn't you guys read that article? If he ran it in the f***ed up method that the football guys do, they would clock him well under 4.

I don't know but I need to know for my tv track program. I have nothing to say otherwise because track is boring.
By my fairly accurate calculatons, 3.908 seconds. This doesn't take into account that the first 40 yards would be slower than say, the last 40.
At the NFL combine hed be clocked at at least 2.90, easy
Despite what you hear, I don't believe there is credible proof of ANYONE ever breaking 4.30 FAT for 40 yards.
Faster than Michael Vick.

are we talking about running it down at my local high school track?
3.908 by your completely idiotic calculations would be his time in your idiotic hypothetical 40 meter, not 40 yards. Not that that means anything.
My guess would be a shade under 4, and it would be faster but his sprinting strength is more top end speed than acceleration. MO claims a 3.85

Ben Johnson ran 4.25 when he ran 9.79.
Your point is well taken though.
They get a jogging start at the combine.
I know, hence the part about one of the fastest men ever running 4.25 when Joe Schmo runs 4.4.
They don't get a jogging start, but they don't have to react to a gun. The timer starts when they start. That gives them at least an extra tenth of a second. I believe that Mo Greene could've clocked a 3.9 with combine-style timing, and Asafa is probably close or a little slower because he seems like less of a starter and more of a "top end" guy.
Good question. Seems like he could be a stud if he moved down. He's more of a speed guy, if you ask me.
