I just graduated undergrad and am going into the Army for a 4 year commitment. Does anyone know if there are any NCAA restrictions in CC or Track on age or grad school? Can I run and compete at the age of 26? 28?

I think it's 25 BUT there are exceptions for things like military service. In my understanding you would be eligible at 26 or 28.
I'm pretty sure it depends on the division. I coached a National Guard member on my DII Nordic Ski team last winter. He was 25 and our compliance sheet showed him as having 4 years of eligibility at the start of the season. He had been a part-time student on and off since around 1999 but fall 2004 was his first semester as a full-time (12+ credits) student.
Also, was contacted by a former student-athlete who competed for our school for a couple years back in the late 90's (again Nordic Skiing) but dropped out. Our compliance officer did the research on what his status is and I was told he has 2 years of eligibility left.
With DII I'm pretty sure the rule is that you have 10 semesters of full-time enrollment to complete eligibility in any given sport. You leave school in the middle the clock stops. DI I think the rule is 5 years to complete eligibility and the clock starts as soon as you enroll. DIII I have no idea.
See your compliance office or
to check it out.
Thanks!
there isn't an age limit for dII. 10 full time semesters. i wanna say at 23 your clock starts for dI. meaning your 4 years start then...not for sure on that one.
3 excemptions from that rule: military, mission (religious) or mom (childbirth)
clock starting at 23...meaning that if you haven't gone to school by then, you will start burning your years at 23.
that lady from IUP is like 30 and running for them. I know Wu, or what ever his name was, from edinboro, back about 5 years ago was like 25 as a frosh. so i dont know what the limit is.
