The day after an intense speed workout my quad tightened up a bit so I began treating it like a strained muscle...rest, ice, advil, etc. However since then, I noticed that my whole right side from my lower back and hip down is constantly tight/sore and I'm concerned it is more than a strained muscle. I've been doing crunches and lower back strengthening exercises to help the area, but the pain is still there especially in the morning. Has anyone ever experienced something similar to this? What can I do to get better? Thanks in advance.
