How did you train for this vs your normal road marathon training?
I did 6.75miles a day, generally, on trail loop 10 minutes from my house that had 600 feet in elevation change. I think, to do a 50 miler or 100k, I would need to up it to 10 miles. I also think keeping 800m repeats would be smart which is something I dropped. I’m kicking myself today for not running it faster in parts or waiting too long at an aide station, but at the time I was in some pain lol
Of course a 40 mile race will be hard when you are only running 6.75 miles a day.
