I don't know for sure on what Sweden pays for how ever I do know this, track is not big in the USA, overseas it is like football or basketball here. Also when you are considered amateur here you have to pay everything out of your pocket from shoes to poles to travel. This is why he went pro after one year of LSU to get paid. Other countries don't have the same regulations and will pay for training facilities, travel, poles ECT, as an "amateur". So, not only money aspect, he gets to jump more doing what he loves cause track is bigger over the pond. Given the opportunity I think everyone on here would do it. If someone would help pay for my son to go to track meets, poles and facilities and still be able to compete as an amateur I would take them up on it. He is 11 been vaulting for 2 years (not mondo yet hahaha) and I know for a fact it's is expensive. Maybe 3 meets a year he can compete in so have to travel, time off work, school, poles, club payments, gas, shoes, clothes, it's very expensive.
