that is neither what I said nor what I meant.
the expression, "I'll be perfectly honest with you," has two uses in British English.
1. "this is a barefaced lie that I would very much appreciate you pretending you believe."
2. it is the British equivalent of the American, "So," a completely irrelevant precursor to the real start of the sentence.
most British people pretend that they can tell the difference.
cheers.
What other kinds of English are there? Is there really such a thing as "British English"?
Are you British? You seem like kind of an idiot.

You may feel good, but the diuretic caffeine is even worse for you physiologically. Coffee is an addictive drug, and will make you feel better almost like pills would. Doesn't mean it's the right thing for you to do in that situation.

I'm pretty sure caffeine only works as a diuretic when taken at large amounts (above 500mg). Otherwise, it doesn't produce any more of a substantial increase in urination than do non-caffeinated products.
I think researchers have said that cortisol (stress hormone) also plays a role in that, under normal circumstances, your cortisol levels peak around 8-9am and then dip. So, if you work during a period when your cortisol levels are dipping, you might feel sluggish. Just the same, if you wake up at a time when you haven't completed a REM cycle, you might also feel out of sorts.
For most of us, we train when it fits best into our schedule.
I would suggest that you get your training nailed down long before worrying about the timing of it. Or thinking about going to altitude much less buying a tent.
Get your nutrition dialed in before worrying about supplements.
Get the easiest modes of recovery nailed down before worrying about buying Norma-Tec or doing cryotherapy (not that I am all that sure any of them really do much good).
So many people are more interested in the exotic aspects of training. To me it is like a 14 year old dreaming of having a Ferrari when he has not even got the basics of driving down yet.
