I ran 1:56.8 in the 800 on Saturday, for a Personal Record and a Season best by about 2.5 seconds. I ran a "negative split" race (even split basically) , with my first lap in 58.5, and my second lap in 58.3. My school record of 1:55.1 seems to be in reach, and that would be a sick way to end my high school career. Also, I race in California (In a very competitive section) and the auto time qualifier for the CIF state meet is 1:54.7. Do I have a shot at these times? If I were to go out in a 56 mid, would it lead to a PR? How do I hold my form together for that last 50 meters? If you have any answers, you know what to do.
