CNN, MSNBC, Yahoo are all completely void of any coverage. I thought the media loved shootings.
Anyone can buy a gun in a private sale. These transactions should be regulated, wouldn't you say?
No one says cutting back on guns would completely remove all gun deaths or all deaths. But the best we can do is reduce the number of murders. A guy on the last page had a list of 4 mass shootings in the last several decades in Australia. Congrats...we are there...in the us in under a week. The 11 people killed in his list...what is that like 1/5 of the las Vegas shooting?
To argue we shouldn't save hundreds of lives per year because it's impossible to save hundreds plus 7 is asinine, and/or cynical. If knives and hammers are just as effective at killing and harming anither human being, then why do you need a gun for home protection? Because we all know a gun is more efficient. Yeah, there are terrible people everywhere. Let's at least try to make them inefficient.

I don't have a huge problem with that, actually. The problem is that regulating private sales will make a relatively small dent in firearm crimes. There's some other ways that can have a MUCH larger impact without getting involved with private sales. Again, i'm open to it but I don't understand why some people focus so much on "solutions" that might save several dozen lives, when there are solutions which would absolutely save hundreds (and possibly thousands), yet those solutions are ignored (because they're "draconian"- such as not letting repeat offenders out of jail on bail, where they often go commit a firearm crime/murder while awaiting trial for yet another crime).
