Give me break here! So, his kids have some questions...big deal, wait till daddy starts giving them some big dough for cars, college, travel, etc., and they be won't be too concern anymore. Lol. And since you're cherry picking just one small part of the story so we can all feel sorry for poor Lance, here's a couple of paragraphs from the story describing his lifestyle of the rich & famous in Aspen:
"Armstrong’s tale is only a snapshot of his life in Aspen, where he and his family spend their summers in one of the country’s wealthiest communities, but it captures something both of his still-bumptious personality and of his existence there: lively, gregarious, free-form, rooted in family. Most of Armstrong’s life revolves around his splendid blue-shingle home near the center of town, which he bought for $9 million in 2009 and is constantly full of children and adults—a sort of standing cocktail party and kid fest that runs every night, all summer. There are occasional celebrities—race car driver Jimmie Johnson, a neighbor, is among them—but mostly the attendees are what pass in Aspen for regular people."
“You know that one house in the neighborhood where everybody likes to drop in and hang out?” DiSalvo asks me as we make our way from the restaurant to Armstrong’s. “This is that house.” The traffic that night was relatively quiet by family standards. By my tally, 23 people came through, including four overnight guests from Austin, Texas. From all accounts and appearances, the Armstrongs—his fiancée, Anna Hansen, two children by her, and three children by his first wife, Kristin, with whom he has a friendly relationship—are a happy, close-knit family. If you didn’t know any better, you might think you were looking at an ideal world."
Please...a *9* million dollar home? Famous NASCAR driver Jimmy Johnson a neighbor? That house "where everybody likes to drop in hang out?" "Standing cocktail party?"
Sounds like things are good...very good...with the LA gig in Aspen. ?
