So everytime I go to this store there is this girl behind the desk. The next time I go there, should I just randomly give her a piece of paper with my number on it and see what happens?
I have no clue if she is interested or dating anyone. But there is only one way to eine out.
However, if nothing happens (likely) how am I going to that shop again? I don't want to switch to another one as it is on my way to work and by far the most suitable.
Man, this is getting silly. But I am thinking and thinking.
The girl behind the desk

How about start talking to her to build a rapport?

In another similar thread someone mentioned half-tights and a woody. Seems like solid advice here too.
Good luck! -
Do NOT approach a woman without your lawyer present.
-
Watch You Tube.com videos on how to talk and use your hands to communicate. Practice in front of the mirror. If you do not overdo it, this will work for you. No guarantee of a date but you will show her
you are confident. Therefore you will have no shame at returning to the store.
We cannot force anyone to like us. It's their choice. They actually might not like you because
you are too good looking, or too muscular, or too something. You never know what women
are thinking. Even women do not know what a woman might be thinking! They can be
bizarre creatures. (Heck let's face it a month from now their mind might totally be different. This is especially true with teenagers or college students. The brain is not totally developed until around age 25 according to many studies.)
Forgive them, give them space, time, you never can tell.
Ellen DeGeneres believes women want to be chased. Okay, but be careful. -

Brain development has nothing to do with that. People have changing interests because they are exposed to new things or ideas. This can happen at any age. -
Ask her what she is up to tonight while purchasing condoms and the cheapest bottle of wine they have

Ask her out.
Sarah Schwald used to work the desk at a bio tech company. Never asked her out. Still regret wimping out -

Make sure they're magnums -
There was a classic "Dilbert" where he mis-read a woman at a retail counter who was being friendly to him. He asks her out, and she clarifies that this was her "fake" customer service smile and that part of her job was being paid to smile and be nice to the customers.
You'll have to find opportunities to make small-talk with her and establish a rapport (as another poster said). Get her name, give her yours, wish her a Happy New Year, ask ask about her current job (that you see her at), ask if she's going to school or doing something else, ask how her last weekend went or her plans for a future weekend, etc. Keep it light, but try to make some progress with getting to know her as a regular customer. See how much she reciprocates the small-talk to show interest or not. If/when you feel you have a regular exchange, then try invite her to some activity you have planned with other people, etc.
This is an art form, and it takes practice to do it well. Anyone in this situation (e.g., bartender) will have a high threshold, so expect a lot of rejection even under the best circumstances. -
Hey, baby. Why don't you bend THAT ASS over?

Even James Bond would have got blown out if he wrote his number on a piece of paper. -
Tell her that you love her, and that it is your favorite store because she works there. Say lots of compliments. Tell her that she is like the Bekele of desk girls at stores. Buy lots of exotic foods like guanabana's, luxury chocolate and things. Tell her that you plan to have a feast while you watch Bekele on your cinema screen at home. She will want to join you. You will get her to join you that way. Tell her that you couldn't survive any more if she wasn't in the store any more. That way she will know you are truly interested in her more then anything, and will be devoted.

Forget what everyone else has said.
Do this...
Find a random topic you'd most likely know about - local news/event (not running related), something in the store - then build up the interest in really wanting to know others (not hers specifically) opinion about it and wanting to tall to other people about it (not her). Next time talk to her about this thing. Forget it's her. The topic/this thing is more important and you need to talk to someone about it. Just a short chat. After doing this a few times THEN you can start talking/asking about herself but initially you are strictly making small talk and you must try to imagine it's not her you're talking to. -

All men should be required to wear body cams whenever speaking to a female non-relative. -

A story like this should break the ice, and let her know where you're coming from.

As the originator of that comment, I fully support this. Anything that works on Tinder will work in real life.
Funny story: Every so often my Tinder account would shut down from being "reported," but the mods kept reinstating me. It was great knowing that even the mods knew I had a good thing going. -

Op, I do not mean this to be mean, but you are a lo$er. You come to letsrun to say you want to talk to a girl? Really?
Are you a grown man? -
Try Harvey/Charlie approach. Show up in bathrobe with nothing underneath and partially open. I hear it works wonders. They know their shlt. They're uber liberals.
